If I am recording something on one of the 2 tuners and switch the channel to watch something else, that tuner will not pause, rewind, or record. If I push the record button on the 2nd tuner, it will show on the screnn that it is recording, but when I go into the playlist and try to watch the show, it is a grey screen and immediately asks if I want to delete the recording.

The other tuner will be fine. I can pause it, or watch the recorded show.

So basically anytime i am recording something on one tuner, that first recording is fine. But the other tuner becomes useless. i can watch the other tuner live, but I basically lose ALL DVR functions with that 2nd tuner.

Any suggestions?

First, try the menu>>reset receiver.
If that doesn't do it, you might have a problem with the activation on the second tuner. You can call and have a CSR do it, or if you have an account on-line you can do it from there.

Also, you might want to try going into the setup menu and reselecting your dish type. Select the “wrong” one, save it, then select the right one, and save again.
