This happens when the combined video and audio bitrates of your video exceed the maximum allowed by the HR2x. The maximum is somewhere in the 7-8MBps range.rickeame said:

Okay, I was hoping this would be resolved by now. I have EyeConnect 1.5.3 running on my Mac. I have my HR21-700 on the network, and they see each other.
When I try to play video, I get an awesome picture for about 5 seconds, then it just stops and says it can't play it. It's curious that it at least starts it (and does a great job) but then just quits.
Has anyone gotten this to work -- is there another solution if EyeConnect can't work with the HR21-700?
Any help would be appreciated....if I can get this to work, a lot of greatness opens up for me in my house. I also want my HR21 Pro to point to the same library.

I haven't tried any video lately. I'm at work and I'll try when I get home.
I'd like to know if that works. I just got an HR21 and didn't realize it had the capability. But all my pictures and music are on an iMac. I was about to get AppleTV to do this. I may ultimately end up with a mac mini w/ blu ray DVD player. But if the DirecTV unit will let me do it all, I could save some cash 
Well, I have tried various MPEG's out and they all crap out in some way or another. I got through a Smallville about halfway last night when it decided to die. So far, I haven't found the magic sauce to make it work. *sigh*
