I have a HR21-700 receiver. I have a Samsung UN55C8000. (1080P 240Hz)

Is this receiver capable of broadcasting in 1080P. Do I need to upgrade?

It is, there just is no 1080p light. Make sure in the tv resolutions on the DVR setup menu, that 1080p is selected. When you are watching a VOD or PPV that is in 1080p, both the 1080i and 720p lights come on.

It is capable of 1080p/24. However, the only content at 1080p is VOD and PPV.

There aren't currently any broadcasters delivering 1080p.

It is capable. You don't need to upgrade your [strike]TV[/strike] receiver.

Well, no, it's a top grade new TV- a Sammy! IAE, he was asking about the receiver, which is also capable. All that's missing is programming, [besides VOD.]
