Has anyone else experienced this problem?

I have an HR21-700 with IR Remote. When I first turn the unit on, it powers up the HR21 and the TV. Then it takes 2-10 minutes for the remote to start controlling the DVR. If I switch it to TV mode, it works the TV fine, i.e. menu, channel, input etc.

But I can sit for several minutes pushing buttons on the DVR and it will not work. then all of a sudden it does.

Any ideas?

That's the first I'e heard of it... do you have another remote you can try?

Sometimes I just have to say. DOH

I do have an HR20 in the other room. I'll try it next time I power the set on.

I've only been in the electronics business for 20 years. If I were my own customer, the first thing I would ask is if I tried the other remote.
