HR21P - New ad with 1080p

OK, I can accept the first time an ad for the HR21P showed 1080p as a resolution was an honest mistake. But now how many months later (a year perhaps pre CEDIA) another, different ad shows 1080p as a resolution.

I would scan the ad, but the image is too dark to probably show up, but anyone who has the September 2008 issue of Home Theater can see it on the inside front cover.

Can the art department really be this inept?

Or maybe it does support 1080p now, considering 1080p VOD is on the way ;)
It is my understanding that 1080p will be available to all H series receivers later this year, as per a D* press release.
I saw this ad too. Yes, it is on the inside cover of the September issue of Home Theater Magazine. (It's a very nice looking ad, at that.)

The first thing I noticed was that the drive had a 1080p resolution light, and that it was lit.

This isn't the same ad that was circulating last year around CEDIA. It is a completely new one.

Exactly. So they can't blame it on the ad department this time.:)

No Surprise. Earlier this year DirecTV said that HD DVRs would be 100 hour capacity in mid-2008.
Is there 1080i sign ? If not then "1080p" clear typo.

While I agree with the notion that it is a typo, how did they do it AGAIN a year after they did it the first time?

At least there is a hope that CIG will eventually become reality. A better example might be the simultaneous recording of three programs boo-boo.
"Truth in advertising" enforcement just ain't what it used to be.... :eek2:

...just look at the latest Dish HD ads on TV..... :D

So this'll be that same later in the year (aka soon) that Directv states in November for PBS, yet we are still waiting....

So expect 1080p to be broadcast on December 31, 2008 at 11:59pm. Sorry, just a little skeptical these days..
