Will the HR23-700 component output have enough power to drive a 50 foot component cable?

If your cable is high quality (not high $$$$).

I used a 30' component cable designed to distribute Wally World demo TVs. It worked fine, but there was an obvious signal loss (darkening of the pix). When I replaced the 30' component with a 30' hdmi (monoprice.com), the picture brightened up impressively.

I've installed the 50 foot cable and it does work. I noticed the darkening but was able to adjust it with the tv picture controls. I can't use HDMI because the TV doesn't support it and the DVR's HDMI is being used on another set.
It's a bit more expensive, but I've had great success with the Actiontec MyWirelessTV. Got one used from ebay for about $60. Sends HDMI wirelessly to a 2nd TV and passes thru to the primary TV. Picture is perfect.

He can't use HDMI - the TV doesn't have HDMI input: "I can't use HDMI because the TV doesn't support it and the DVR's HDMI is being used on another set."
