I am hoping someone can provide some input on what could be going on with my receivers. I had 3 receivers, a SD rca (old one), an hr20-700 and and hr22 in the house. The HR 22 would not pull in SAT 99 or 103 during certain times of the day and night. I went round and round with Directv and they replaced the hr22 with another hr22 and same issue after a while (for a couple months no issues). If I replaced the hr22 with the hr20-700 the hr20 would immediately show the 99and 103 and I would have all channels. We finally had a chance to do an upgrade for shipping cost only and we received at HR24-500. As soon as we hooked it up, everything worked great and we get all the satellites in. NO more problems.
Had an offer for more upgrades, but they would not ship - but said tech would leave boxes. They brought the two hr24-100. When I replaced the hr20-700 with the hr24-100, I had same issues as I was having with the hr22 - will not get 99 and 103 at certain times of day. If I put hr20 back on or hook up the hr24-500 there they get them both back immediately and no issues with programming. Have the same issue with the other hr24-100 when putting it in place of the old standard rca - of course running the dual lines for the upgraded box.
The hr24-500 signal meters pull the 101, 110 and 119 in at 98-100%. the 99c at 82/83 and 103ca at 85/85 and 103cb at 89/89; when I use the 24-100 signal meters pull the 101, 110 and 119 in at 97-100 but the 99c sometimes pulls 81 and sometimes nothing; the 103 ca and 103cb pull nothing in. I use the same cables and same room to do both test and change the receivers out so I can't figure out what the issue is.
they tell me all receivers are the same and I will need a tech out to fix the problem. Is there anything else I can check prior to having them out to my house. I cannot see where cables are the issue when certain boxes work. What am I missing?
Thanks in advance for the help.
