I'm not sure is SW update related or ad banners but hr24-200 guide has long delay when initially pressing the guide button but takes only 1 second or two after that, then sometimes it delay's again, I reset it but same problem.

You probably want to put this in the 'HD DVR/Receiver Discussion' section but I think this is just the way DirecTV likes it.

I think they have a patent on 'remote response delay'!

My HR24-500s used to be much quicker but now I do get delays here and there. You never know what you're going to get when you pick up the remote.

My HR24-500 has no problem bringing up the guide. Under a second.
I agree that the response isn't always the same, but I wouldn't say it's a long delay.

maybe 7 or 8 seconds but only happens on some occasion which is not too bad, but I do realize that it happens when turning on receiver from stand-by but not always, so it's a hit or miss thing
