Yes, correct. I recently self installed a SWM LNB.
I like the idea of having a single (vs 4) line running down from the dish into a nice cable box enclosure (weather proof) containing a grounding block and splitter . . .
In the event of an equipment failure, I also like the idea of basically being able to swap out one component (SWM LNB) vs guessing between a multiswitch LNB vs SWM module . . .
I realize I could have DirecTV take care of all of this at substantial less cost then doing self install, but maintaining my set up since '97 has been a bit of a hobbiest pursuit . . . and the only time I had a DirecTV out to my house (part of the condition to get two HD DVR for free) was not confidence inspiring
