Thanks fellas. I will pick up a two way tomorrow.NR4P said:Agree with the above post and add that you want the minimal number of splitters.
One way to do that is a 2way splitter feeding an 34 and 24. Then off the other port a 4way splitter for the other 24's.
Do not use an 8 way splitter if you can avoid it.
Or if you want WHDVR service now or in the future, depending on where your router/switch is located, perhaps you might want 2 four-ways for enough available splitter ports to run an additional line for a wired CCK.NR4P said:Agree with the above post and add that you want the minimal number of splitters.

I do have WHDVR but I disconnected my wired CCK as I am letting the HR34 do the work. I will consider re-introducing if the HR34 does not behave.HoTat2 said:Or if you want WHDVR service now or in the future, depending on where your router/switch is located, perhaps you might want 2 four-ways for enough available splitter ports to run an additional line for a wired CCK.
OK, that's why I said depending the location of the router/switch, in reference to the receivers that is.liltalkm said:I do have WHDVR but I disconnected my wired CCK as I am letting the HR34 do the work. I will consider re-introducing if the HR34 does not behave.
So far so good though.
Maybe they get more money for installing 8 ways instead of 4 ways like they do for installing CCK's on HR34 installations when they are not needed. :grin:HoTat2 said:Said the 1 x 4s were problematic.
