The legacy ports are not SWM so they don't count against the 8 tuners of the SWM8. With an HR34 and one HR21 you'll use 5 + 2 or 7 total tuners.
HR34 and SWM8 port question
I currently have 3 DVRs running off of an SWM8 switch. An HR21/700 and a HR20/100 running on standard SWM8 ports and a R15/500 running off two legacy ports. I just ordered a HR34 that is going to replace the HR20/100. With the HR34 using 5 ports I'm concerned that I now have too many (9) connections on one switch. Do the two legacy ports for the R15/500 count towards the 8 total ports or is that a separate count?
