HR34 and Whole Home

It should be an easy setup. The only thing I would recommend is make sure the 34 is installed on the same leg as one of the HR's and the other 4 on another leg. (8 tuners on one side and 7 on the other.) It will integrate right into your existing whole home network.

I have the simular situation, but I have
HR-34 (New)
HR21-100
HR22-100
Old Tivo (on current SWM-8 legacy port)

Should I have the HR-34 on one SWM-16 output and the other two on the other to balance the tuners? Does it matter which output?

Also I currently have OTA diplexed in the SWM-8. The SWM-16 does not have this correct? Not an issue because I have two coax lines to each TV location. I just wantto be ready for the installer.

It doesn't really matter which leg you put them on, but yes putting the two DVRs on one leg with a two way splitter, and the HR34 and Cinema Connect Kit on the other SWM leg with another two way splitter (or inline without a splitter if you get the wireless version), would minimize your signal losses.

You can't diplex OTA on the coax if you are going to be using Whole Home DVR (which I assume you are since you are getting an HR34). Use your other coax runs for OTA since you have 2 available.
