Can these receivers all live together in my home? With all seeing the HMC's DVr list correctly?

1 HR34
3 C31
2 H25

Let me know please what limitations I would have. I realize the two H25's would not have Trick Live TV.

Thanks so much. I actually was coming back to correct my model names and you responded so fast!

Thanks again. I currently have an order in for the HMC and 4 clients. But to save tuners I think it would be smarter to put the H25's in the boys room!

Keep in mind that the max number of active clients at once (C31 or RVU) is 3.

The HR34 can only feed three streams at a time, whether to RVU clients or whole-home. You will have five remote devices (3 C31 and 2 H25). Only three of those can watch recordings from the HR34 at any given time. The H25's have their own tuners, so can watch live whenever they want, and the C31's could all watch live at the same time as the HR34. So you should be covered.

Now, whether or not you can actually get C31's at this time is unknown. They are not widely available yet.

That's probably not a bad idea. The boys probably don't need trick play for live TV. They'll probably just want to watch their recorded cartoons.

Yes I believe I am golden. Basically I will be sharing 5 tuners over 4 TVs on the client end.

HD boxes will have their own live tuner, can access HMC only if other clients are not currently being used.

I am going to call in morning and modify my work order

Sounds like you got a family with lots of different taste. If so, you need more DVR space.

And only having a hundred series probably wont do you either. Another DVR will give you 50 more.

Yup, techs showed up expecting to see three Samsung RVU client televisions. CSR know nothing.

bye bye for now directv.
It's not a national product and the only way consumers are going to know about it are from places like this. Ordering on knowledge you get here just creates the situation you encountered.

I didn't order from knowledge I learned here. The 3rd party I called to order Directv explained these clients to me. I just came here to learn more about them.
Were any C31 on the order they email to you?

No. and my wife made fun of me because I called 3 times checking on this order. All of the calls put me on hold, saying they were going to contact technical specialist. All 3 reps came back saying yes you are receiving the c31's a brand new technology they were unaware of themselves.

No big deal. I will simply wait it out.

Well, you know, if C31s aren't on the order, the field tech is not going to know about 'em.

OK... Directv called and ask why I cancelled my installation. I explained how I didn't have the RVU Samsung TV's needed for the install.

Puts me on hold for a few minutes. The equipment the techs need is now in stock and we can re schedule the install. I noted one more time, that I did not have the Samsung televisions and please make sure this will work.

After holding. Yes, you don't need the Samsung TV's because you are getting a box that makes RVU work with any TV.

Anyways, I am not optimistic at all, here is my work order:
