I just upgraded from 2 hr20-100's. I got the whole home upgrade with the cinema connection kit. The new receivers are impressive to say the least. Very fast and responsive. CCK works great; plug and play. I have been a long time happy customer of directv and didn't have a problem with my hr20's. I just wanted the best of the best and pulled the trigger. Retirement gift to myself. So for those of you who are sitting on the fence; just go for it. The 34/24 is a dynamic duo.

Good to hear, the HR34/HR24 is a great combo. If you are looking for a small receiver for a kitchen or bedroom don't forget about the H25's, they are super fast and reliable too.
