I had an HR34 installed recently. I have read thru many posts but do not really understand the networking tech going with these units. I would like to increase my streaming speed for downloading OnDemand shows and movies.

When the HR34 was set up, it was set up using the wireless option in the network menu. I assumed that was thru my wireless router. But there is a D* unit installed that looks like a wireless router with 4 green lights on the front. IS that a wireless connection for the HR34?

I want to try to increase the download speed and was thinking of buying a newer router but then was wondering if this would make any difference at all with the HR34.

Any thoughts on whether a new router would make any difference would be greatly appreciated. Or on how to increase the streaming/download speed would be appreciated.

I have a Belkin N router but I have Roadrunner Turbo getting about 10Mbps download speeds. I have no idea what speeds the HR34 is downloading at and have no idea how to determine that. So am I to understand that the HR34 is NOT thru the Belkin router? Still confused I guess.
