This has happened a couple of times lately.

When I go to the playlist there are several shows that I have recorded on another DVR that have red circles next to them. When I try to play those recordings from the HR34 it tells me too many shows are in progress on the DVR I'm trying to access!

Well, I went into the bedroom and turned the system on and nothing was being recorded and when I went to its list, there were no red circles. Turned it back off and came back out and tried to access those shows again and the red circles were still there!

While I was typing this post all of a sudden the red circles disappeared on the HR34's list! Strange behavior.

It sounds like some housekeeping is going on. If the problem comes back, try rebooting all the DVRs one at a time.

If that's the case I might have to get a new housekeeper! LOL. Thanks Stuart.
I've had that happen several times. If you go to the HR that has the red circles and shut it off and turn it back on or turn it on and shut it off, you should be able to go back to the 34 and the red circles should be gone. I have so many HRs on my MRV that I don't usually bother, I just switch to another HR that has the same program recorded on it. I think Stuart is right about something going on in the HR that you can't access. The red circles always go away if I just ignore them. But, it happens to me very infrequently. I don't think it's something you should be seeing on a daily basis.

Have seen the same thing and found that RBR was necessary. Also when deleting from DVR "A" the program is deleted from any and all DVRs it is on.
