HR34 Upgraded Question

I'm considering an offer from DirecTv to upgrade to an HR34 from my HR20-100. I am not planning on keeping my HR20, so it will be a swap out.

The offer does not include the Whole Home installation, only the cinema connection kit and a standard installation.

What am I missing if I do not upgrade to the Whole Home installation? It would be about an extra $150 out of pocket for the Whole Home install.

Thanks for your input.

What other receivers do you have that you are keeping?
Ok. So as of now, the Whole Home service really won't get you anything. It would be needed for an RVU client.

All the hard work though is required for the HR34 by itself. Later on, then you would only need a coax line running to the room where the client is. Whole Home DVR does have a $3 per month fee, plus the charge for the client.

Did DirecTV specifically say the offer was for an HR34 or HMC, or did the offer just say an HD DVR upgrade?
