I can not record a season pass

I wonder if anyone else has had this problem. . . I can not record a season pass correctly. There are several ways it will fail:

1. I search for a show (for example "24"), have the first episode highlighted, then I push record twice, and get the multiple "R" stack icon. Then when I go to the to do list, only one episode is set to record, Monday nights does not have an "R" and I have to manually set it. This happens with lots of other shows -- I set the HR20 to record the series, repeats and first run, and it maybe will record one show a week - even though the show is on every day. Is the record series setting day and time dependent or show title dependent?

2. I look for a show in the guide and I can not bring up the multiple "R" stack icon at all. I push the record button once and I see a single "R" and I push it again and it goes away. No option to record the series at all.

I have to schedule recordings on my HR10 just to make sure I don't miss anything.
The HR10 was not the best machine but IT WORKED. It recorded everything I wanted it to and it was easy to use. Maybe I am doing something wrong - but I never needed training with the HR10 either. . . .

I had a somewhat similar problem. What I discovered was that there was already an entry for the series in the Prioritizer. What I had to do was delete that (double dash), then go back to the program guide. It then accepted the double "R" push for a series link.

What's shows are failing? It's possible the guide data is failing to identify your selection as a series and is therefore toggling recording of the particular show on and off.

are they actualy failing to record or just not showing up right away? I know it takes it a while to find all the other shows..
When you first set a series link it will take a few hours for it to pick up all the episodes beyond the one you initially used to set the series link.

So for 24 I'd use the guide to go to the first episode on Monday and hit the record twice for a series. Then just forget about it and when you check it tomorrow it should pick up further episodes.
