Set your 722 to Single Mode, then set your remote #2 (UHF remote) to controll your TV and Onkyo and your all set.
In Single Mode you can use either remote, in Dual Mode only #1 remote will work with the primary TV. You will NOT be forced to SD, I'm using this setup righ now and I get all the HD channels and HD output
If you have shared mode on (I actually turn it off so a neighbor's UHF doesn't accidently control my DVR) and are in single mode, then the UHF remote will control TV1. Its also possible to use a UHF remote in dual mode, but that's not your case.
I wish they would make all remotes UHF
Does it really cost that much?
