I just called up to see if they had any current deals on HBO because I want to watch Hard Knocks in a few weeks. I was going to take the HBO/Cinemax deal if it was offered, and if not I was probably just going to sign up for HBO by itself.
Well, she noticed in my account that I had indicated that I was having some problems with my HD channels a few days ago and she asked if those problems were fixed. They have not been fixed (I am getting random pixelization and gray screens even when the weather is perfect). She noticed that 'the engineers are still working on this problem.' So, she signed me up for HBO and Showtime for free for 3 months and she said that they will just turn off on their own (no need to call and cancel if I don't want to keep them).
Not bad, not bad at all.
