I currently have a service address in an outside area elgible for DNS feeds and have 2 HR10-250's. As HD locals are now available in Reno, I would like to get a HR20 to see if the Mpeg4 signal is going to be any better than the pathetic HD-Lite I'm currently receiving over the DNS feeds.

With the problems people are having with the HR20's, I'm not quite ready to commit to "moving" back to town, lose my DNS feeds to the HR10-250's and end up with a buggy machine with no better signal than I had before.

I'm thinking my only option is to get an HR20 and 5 lnb dish online and do a self-install, as obviously I can't take advantage of Direct's installation services. This sound about right?

I believe you would still have to change your service address to Reno for the HD locals to be picked up by the HR20.

I'm receiving SD Reno locals now. Would that be any different than the HD LIL's? Do you think I'd have any chance of credit towards equipment from Direct TV?

Also, the only doubt I've got about doing an install myself would involve aiming the dish. How difficult would this be?
