"Rather than change my basic cable package, adding a bunch more channels I don't really want, in an effort to get a few channels in high-definition, I went old-school.

I bolted an antenna to my roof."

Gee! I wonder if other people know about this "antenna" thing? ;)

It may seem obvious to the people on this forum, but trust me, lots of people don't know about OTA digital signals (availability or quality). Your average Sears/Best Buy/Circuit city saleperson is selling the DBS services, and cable companies are selling HD locals, and noone is saying "you don't really need this to get HDTV, just get an antenna...it's free after that"

Kudos to that guy, and if you are already putting up antennas (heck, I use indoor rabbit ears on my set, PQ is great!), tell your friends for sure.

The OTA secret is getting out.

I just hope all those new HD TV sets don't suck the HD signal out of the air.

Where have I seen that sign before? Ah, I remember, it was the last time I was in Minnesnowta, at the intersection of W. Bush Lake Road and I-494, about 6 miles from my old house. :D It's funny how I keep seeing this road sign with a different caption all over the place. The sign keeps changing, but the vehicles never seem to move. It is nice to see the Minnesota Department of Transportation trying to educate the public though.
