yeah i would bet my left one that your hdd has crapped out.
I woke up to clicking....
This morning, I woke up and my DVR was clicking. Louder than fan noise, and really consistant and annoying. Click....Click...Click, about once every 2 seconds, for about 10 times, then wrrrrrr like something was reseting, then back to clicking. I could watch TV, but none of the DVR functions worked. I tried reseting the box, and I got the clicking during startup, then when trying to aquire info, it clicked for a little bit, then it made a grinding noise, and all was quiet. It's two hours later and still sitting on the blue screen.
I'm thinking hard drive failure, has anyone had similar problems?

Clicks are a hard drives death knell. Once you start hearing them it's usually a matter of time (a SHORT time). Time to call D*.
