Ideas for a projector for presentations

And... on to a projector...

As it turns out, thanks to Toastmasters, I'm a fairly popular trainer. This can lead to some opportunities. One thing that I've learned is that it is best to bring your own projector for use with PowerPoint and such. The question is... what is a good projector to use?

I suspect that it should have a VGA, DVI, and HDMI ports, although I think I can use an adapter in a pinch. Maybe I should get a new laptop first, then find a projector that is compatible. Any suggestions?

THIS is a very good projector that is currently $200 off.

I was planning on buying it a month or so ago (decided not to get a projector though) after doing lots of research and had set up an Amazon alert via camelcamel and just got notification today of the price drop to my budgeted amount.

I'd stay away from pico or micro projectors.

edit: It's actually gone up $10 since this morning and will probably go up again soon.
Nice projector. I decided to track the ViewSonic PJD5133 because it has a HDMI port.

As for pico or micro projectors.... I want something that conveys that I am a professional, not I am a cheapskate. I want cheap, but good quality, and will place quality above price.

You'll have to add HDMI out to your new laptop spec list. ;)

The 5133 is currently at the lowest price it's ever been on Amazon.
