Well do I?! :) But seriously, if I have to reset it, will I have to wait up to 48 hours for the guide data to be complete or does it save it? Also whats the best way to reset the unit assuming its not just locked up?

Yes, you will lose guide data. The early parts of the guide repopulate pretty quicky, within a very few hours. it can take up to 48 hours or longer to get a full two weeks of guide data.

To reset the unit when it isn't locked up, you can do it from the menus or GUI as we call it:

Menu > Help & Settings > Setup > Reset > Reset Recorder

Do not choose Reset All, as that will reformat the hard drive and kill all your settings (like Seriel Links). Do this if you want to "start from scratch", but otherwise just do what I listed above.
