If you have an AM21 or AM21N

My AM21 went into standby when connected to my HR21 but after upgrading to a HR34 it no longer enters standby.

I'm not voting, because my answer isn't up there.

My AM21 and AM21N go into STANDBY the majority of the time, but every now and then, they won't.

My AM21 always goes standby when my HR22-100 goes standby.

I didn't vote because I would have to answer Yes and No. The AM21s connected to the HR2x boxes go into standby, but the AM21 connected to the HR34 does not and never has.

HR24-100/AM21 always.

Power pass-thru.

My AM21 and AM21N never go into standby regardless of what unit they are hooked up to.

Those of you that have them go into standby, are you using the pass-thru to supply power to your DVR or separate power for the DVR?

Using the power pass-thru on both set ups.

Couldn't vote since I have a HR24-100 that does and a HR34 that doesn't.

Two AM21s connected to two HR24-100s and they both go into standby. Power pass-through. Both using D* remotes. One IR, one RF.

Both go into standby on my HR22's....I have a feeling the answer is they do not go to standby if connected to the HR34's...which is maybe what the thread starter is trying to find out. Seems it would have made more sense to just ask instead of start another pointless poll.

Both mine go into standby with the DVR.

It really doesn't matter how you power it though, as the standby signal is sent over the USB cable to the AM21(N). I've tested mine using both power pass through from the DVR and a separate cable from the wall and the result was the same.

No, the point was do the majority of them go into standby? I don't care about model numbers.

Seems like many do, so they all should, which means any that don't have a bug.

I know the light on both of my AM21s turns off when the receiver is in standby but I haven't checked if the power consumed goes down. Otherwise I don't know of any way to tell if is really in standby.
