Sometimes my DTV & TV power on/off works like it's supposed to and turns on/off both devices but sometimes it only turns on/off one or the other R15 or TV. Any suggestions?

In my case, this happens because it is pointed more properly at one unit or the other.

On mine, the remote only powers the R15 and not the television UNLESS I press a TV command (like volume down) before pressing the power button. If I do that, then it powers both the TV and R15.

I have found that if I push the button too quickly (let go fast), it tends to operate the TV but not the R15. If I hold it slightly longer (perhaps 1 second total?) then it properly operates both.

Yep, that's what I have to do.
