What else did you expect the affiliate to say? That it was there fault?
It takes Two to Tango... So I am sure there enough "blame" for both sides.
As for being told about the Waivers... you can request the networks for your waivers too. So if they responded to you already with your MPEG-4 question, they should respond equally as quick for the waivers... (as it is the affiliate that has to aprove the waiver)
As for OTA... There is no "set" date... as things change... They are still trying for October, but it will most like slip into November... They need to stablize the box more, and fix the existing critical issues, before they can add in such a significant change as OTA recording.
I know it sucks not to have all 4, but you have at least 2.. .and that is 2 more then you had last TV season. When I got my HR10-250... only 2 of my local networks even broadcasted in HD... Next season, all 4 where HD capable... but most of the shows wheren't in HD....
Now about 3 years later, just about ever show I watch in primetime is HD...
