I have installation scheduled. There is an older antenna on my roof and I am interested in using that to receive OTA channels. Do I have to run another cable directly to my new receiver in the basement, or can I just attach it to the multiswitch and connect through the two cables that are already run?

If I have to run a new cable from the antenna, will the installer do that for me since right now all he needs to do is install the new dish and swap out one receiver?

If you're getting the newer AT9 or Slimline 5-LNB dish, you will need to run a dedicated cable for your outdoor OTA antenna. This is probably not considered part of DirecTV's "standard" installation, so you may have to pay the Installer extra.
