I currently have an HR10-250 hooked up in my family room. With just two wires running along the house, it's obviously "split or diplexed" at both ends for the antenna.

If I were to have an HR20-700 installed, they should install at least another line for the antenna since they can't be "split or diplexed" anymore correct? If I also want to keep my HR10-250 hooked up, do they have to install any more wiring besides the one for the antenna? What I mean is that can they "split or diplex" the two existing wires into four which would cover the four tuners in the HR10-250 and the HR20-700 and just run the third wire for the antenna only?

Been itching to have Fox and NBC (only two currently running mpeg4 in Portland, OR) at more consistant levels than what I receive through ota.

TIA

This is correct

Absolutely. You must have one wire coming from the dish/switch for each satellite tuner that you plan to use. In your case, this represents a total of five RG6 cables plus a splitter and a couple of shorties for the OTA signal.

If you bought the diplexers, don't let the installers run off with them... you may be able to use them at some point.

Cool thanks harsh. Three more cables it is!
