For those who might have noticed (I went through the forums here and didn't see any threads addressing it), about the time the Bucs/Bears game (and at about the same time the Jags/Colts game!) went ito overtime, the scores 'froze' (I noticed because I was watching the Bucs game and trying to keep up with the Jags game).

The scores stayed at 'OT:x/x' for about 2 hrs; about the time the Colts won their game, I got a couple of phone calls from folks who had taken a power hit and their HR2x's had rebooted, and were 'stuck' at the first 'simple' text screen.

They had tried hitting the RBR, to no effect. So, I wondered.... and since I have several machines at home, went ahead and did the menu 'reset' on one of them.

It came up to the first screen, and sat there. For about 15 minutes, at which tim I did a RBR, also to no effect.

Well, that was real interesting, as they say. But I thought about it, and put 2 and 2 together, and thought maybe the DirecTV system that controls the Interactive scores also in some way is connected to the 'rotating s/w downloads'. At least, that's about all I could come up with.

I told the calling folks to hang on, I'd call them back in a bit. I tried a couple more resets on other machines (although I was running out of ones to 'check' and wanted to see the results of the games!), but about a good hour later after the end of the Bucs game, one of my resets worked, and the receiver went all the way through the startup procedure: in fact, although I didn't time it, it seemed to go super-fast.

So I called the folks back, and lo and behold, they managed to get their systems up VERY fast as well.

So, although I don't have any of the fancy equipment to monitor the s/w downloads and the sat/transponder they are on (seem to remember somewhere on 119), This was all VERY interesting.

Of course, I noticed that the 'frozen' scores were now updating! All very interesting, I wonder how many folks nationwide got caught in that 'loop', or how many others noticed the 'frozen' interactive scores.

If you were having trouble getting a download, it may have not been in the stream at the time. That does happen every once in a while, but is rare.
