Is the cable quite long or have a steel core center conductor? I wonder if perhaps the Samsung doesn't put out as much of a switching voltage and the drop in the cable might be borderline.Titon said:Thanks for the response.
I'm not using a multiswitch at all. I'm running three seperate cables from the dish which is the 3lnb setup. Two of the cables are running into the HR10-250. The 3rd cable is running directly to my standard D* reciever upstairs.
Like i said, if i hook up the standard reciever it finds the signal right away. The Samsung unit does not detect the signal at all. Move it downstairs, remove one of the cables coming into the back of the HR10-250 and the Samsung is up and detecting immediately.
Very odd situation. There are 4 connections on the 3 lnb dish unit. I might try moving the cable to the other free connection but it just seems odd that one reciever see's it and the Samsung will not.
You might try running setup on that receiver and see what the transponder signal levels for the various satellites are (if they are seen at all). Strange....
