Intermittent signal issue

The past couple of weeks, I've started experiencing occasional signal loss on a couple of my HD channels -

For example, right now I've got a "searching for signal" message on 206 (ESPNHD), 209 (ESPN2HD), 245 (TNTHD), and 501 (HBOHD).

I've had this occur on a couple of occasions over the past week, and found that the channels eventually came back (I've got a service call in, but the tech won't be here until next wednesday).

My other HD channels, including locals, are coming in fine, I've checked ESPNnewsHD, HDHT, FXHD, TBS, HBOW, (i've got the basic HD package, don't have the UHD/HDnetmovies package). The 70's are also coming in just fine (HBO, HDnet, ESPNHD), but my understanding is those are coming off a different satellite.

I've had this setup for well over a year, and only recently have been seeing these issues. I don't think it's weather related, as the weather has been pleasant for the past few weeks (and I've never had rain fade issues, even here in the pacific nw). It's wierd to me that it seems isolated to these specific channels most of the time, and unless I'm having the same problem on both my HR21's, I can't imagine that its a reciever issue.

Anyway - any insight is welcome - I'd like to maximize the tech's time when he gets here.

Check your 99c signals, they should be at least in the 70s on BOTH tuners, and I would expect they are not.

indeed, they are not. Though at the moment I'm picking up 206 and 245 just fine.

Specifically, I'm registering the following on 99c:
1-8: 26 39 17 33 26 44 18 36
9-16:29 46 19 33 31 45 NA NA

Is it as simple as dish alignment? I've got 80s and 90s on the other sats.
Still wierd that the problem comes and goes...
It is a wonder you are receiving them at all:) Signal strength is not relevant to picture quality so when the signal drifts in you get a great picture and then it drifts out again. Your signals are very borderline. Texasbrit is on the money once again, an alignment is in order.
I would contact Directv! It could be quite a few reasons why that happening.

Sorry I counld't help more
Sorry I didn't read the whole thing here!! It looks like it is either a problem with an LNB, Multi Switch or an Alignment problem. Hard to tell for sure.

Those signals are really bad, might be two things also like Alignment and Multi Switch or LNB
Sorry,
thanks for the replies -- like I said, tech's here on Wednesday, so at the very least I'll make sure to get the signal strength up.
