Do you guys know if you combine the new swmline dish with an international dish? Or can the swmline dish receive the programming from the international satellites? My apartment has only one cable coming in and ofcourse the local installer has never heard of the swmline dish. What is the best way to approach this problem. Thanks

Does your apartment have DirecTV dish for all of the tenants? Or do you have your own DirecTV dish?

To receive the international channels, currently beamed from DirecTV's 95º satellite, you need to add a special Internation Dish to the SlimLine dish using the "Flexport" input on the Zinwell WB68 multiswitch. If the current satellite dish is not yours, then you'll need to work out something with the landlord.

Right now I dont have Directv and I have to have my own Directv dish. Does this mean I need more than one wire coming into my apartment?

In theory you can make this work with just one cable into the apartment. You'll need two dishes, though .... one Slimeline 5-LNB plus the Internation Dish. You can combine those dishes on your deck/patio using a SWM8 "single wire multiswitch". Then you'll just need one cable from the SWM8 into your apartment. That one cable can be split using satellite-quality coax splitters to feed up to 8 tuners.

SWMLine dish, no you can not combine it with the international dish

Slimline dish (SL5 & SL3), yes you can combine it with the international dish with a WB68, WB616 or a SWM8 switch.
