I would like to connect my tv to the internet. I now have a wired modem connecting to my DVR with an ethernet cable. I can down loud movies from Direct. Do I have to run another cable to the TV. MY TV does not have an ethenet cable. Thanks for any help.

From what you stated, it doesn't sound like you have an internet streaming enabeld tv (since there is no ethernet jack).

If it incoporates wireless then set it up that way; however if your TV doesn't incoporate wireless or have an ethernet jack; then simply add any of the following to enable internet streaming capabilities to it:

A new blu-ray player that incoporates streaming features (like netflix, hulu, pandora, etc)

or

A Ruku box

or

An Apple TV2

If your TV has an ethernet connector/jack, then you need to run another cable from your router to your TV, or add an ethernet switch to provide additional outputs.

If your TV does not have an ethernet connector/jack, then as Yoda- noted, you need to get some type of device that does, and use that with your TV. You would also need to connect it to your router or to an ethernet switch.
