I just switched over from Dish to Directv getting the HR34 for my one and only satellite driven TV. So, I understand that I should be able to direct connect my router to the HR34 for internet content (VOD). I am using the Rockfish Powerline Network system which has worked flawlessly on my Sharp smart TV and Dish VIP722 for the past year. But, on the HR34, I can not keep it connected. In fact, it seems to load down the internet keeping my Sharp TV from connecting to Netflix. I have got the Whole Home setting on the HR34 to no sharing, I rebooted my internet device and the HR34. I put the HR34 in the router's DMZ. No luck. I called Directv by not much help. They said either a hard wire connection from the router of use one of our Cinema kits for wireless. Any ideas out there? My router is in DCHP mode. Are there any specific settings I need to do to make this work? Thanks and regards,
Mike

Try another port on your router / switch or a known good cable.

I've seen installer made cables that work for a PC connection but won't support video - mis-matched pairs.
I tried another port and left my TV disconnected from the internet. It seems to be connected longer now, but still disconnects.

Has anyone successfully used the Rockfish (Best Buy) Powerline Network system on the HR34?

You might want to look at getting a wireless CCK. You would place it in-line with the HR34 and it would connect back to your router wirelessly. This way you wouldn't need to worry about performance over the power line adapters. I believe they are only $30 including shipping from DirecTV.
