And Swanni bashing begins in 3,2,1.....
DIRECTV was one of 3D TV's earliest and biggest boosters, carrying four different 3D channels shortly after the 2010 launch of 3D sets from manufacturers such as Panasonic and Samsung, among others. The early 3D lineup even included DIRECTV's own channel, n3D, which the satcaster describes as "offering the best in 3D sports, music, nature art and more."
Well, after two years of disappointing 3D sales numbers and even worse 3D audience numbers, there appears to be signs that DIRECTV is pulling back on its commitment.

DIRECTV's n3D has dropped to part time ... but will carry some Summer Olympics programming.

Yup, that's us. I sold off the 2 extra pair of "free" 3D glasses 2 weeks after I got the set. Kept 1pr "just in case" but haven't used it in over 15 months (which was 14 months and 2 weeks from when I got the set). :lol:dpeters11 said:I think quite a few of the households with a 3D set actually have no interest in 3D.
