Is Directv testing fulltime Canadian RSN channels?

We have been getting some Sportsnet HD (Ontario) games on EI. The hope is that we will continue to get more HD game coverage from Canada in the EI and Center Ice packages (and heck, League Pass as well!).

However, you won't see Rogers Sportsnet (or TSN) on DirecTV full-time. The bulk of their programming is U.S.-based and (besides the fact we already get it on other channels), they only have rights to show those shows in Canada. So you'd be looking at a blank/blackout screen most of the time.

My guess is they just didn't pull the plug on the channel fast enough. I've seen this on part-time FSN channels (where they show other programming after the game), but never on a Canadian channel.

I would agree with tftc22. I think someone forgot to turn the channel off after the game.. kind of funny.. often times, they forget to turn the channel ON for the game. Would be great to get TSN HD, Rogers HD, CBC HD, etc. for NHL CI this season!

Rogers has been up for NHLCI (but in SD) for a while now.
