Is it possible to transfer a lease ?

My cousin in California wants to keep the 625 i'm leasing and either way i'm fine with it because I want to move to HD when I move back to Ohio and I really don't want to pay the $300 cancellation fee($15/month) attached to a two year commitment that started in April because I used Dish Mover when I moved to California. I completely trust him based on the fact that when he moved in he was paying a $70 cable bill just not to be able to watch TV because of his work schedule, but it would make things simpler for him if the account was in his name. Does anyone know if leases can be transferred to another person or will it have to remain in my name? Say if something happened to the receiver and he had to have it replaced (it's been in use by me for two and a half years) would he be able to sign work orders; etc. too have it replaced even though I'm back in Ohio?

Also this isn't about keeping service in two separate locations (California & Ohio) I'd being using cousin in Ohio Dish account to attach the HD Receiver to)

Leased equipment doesn't transfer.
