My Slingbox PRO uses the infrared remote control system to control my 722. It has a bunch of "wires" leading to infrared emitters that could allow you to control a number of devices using images of remote controls that appear on your computer screen. The video comes out of my 722 to an HD component input/output pass-through system on the Slingbox (audio uses the RCA audio outputs from my 722).

The Slingbox software is designed to run this system which is radically different from the adapter and 922 systems.

Still, I had it working, once. I had to register at a special link, but once it was working I could use the virtual remote and even select my recordings from the DVR menu of the 922. It was cool, but I didn't use it much. It was when I got the old DRA site to work via another special link, which is down now as well.

So, at the moment I can only sling via dishonline.
