I have the following problems:

Most every program I record has some type of "freezing".
When I go from FF to play I do not see the 6 sec jump back.
At random times the remote is unresponsive.

I look at the posts from HR34 owners complaining about some of the problems above. Makes me wonder if it is a D* issue w/ a new piece of hardware or a
WeaKnees problem. How do I tell the difference? I have a 90 day warranty from WeaKnees which runs out in a month.

Internal or external 2TB HD?? If internal, did you install it??

Knowing Weaknees, it's probably an internal drive that they installed. The freezing isn't normal. The 6 second autocorrect is a bug.

The 2TB hard drive is internal and was installed by Weaknees.

Do you recommend I return it to Weaknees given your take that the freezing isn't normal and the bug of no 6 sec jump back from FF after hit Play?

The autocorrect issue has nothing to do with weaknees. Any issues with watching live, or signal issues? Run this overnight:

Reboot the box and when it's running the self test, press select. It will go into advanced diagnostics.

Advanced Tests Menu -> Hard Drive utilities -> Surface Test

There are still a few bugs to work out on the HR34, one of them being the autocorrect not jumping back properly.
