Is there any reason that the northern counties in the Jackson, MS DMA are forbidden from getting locals (SD or HD) from D*? It has been like this for years. I would find it hard to believe that the spot beam doesn't cover this area.
Same reason Jackson County doesn't receive WKRG or WPMI. The idiots in charge of this don't have a freakin clue how TV actually works in the real world, so they reinvent it however they see fit.
Usually when this happens it is because the spotbeam doesn't fully cover the area. If there are any subscribers within the same zip code that can't get the channels off the spotbeam, then they won't allow anyone in that zip code to get them.
