For unknown reasons, Cinemax is no longer listed in a lot of its normal places on the Dish web site. AFAIK, you should still be able to order it by phone.

I haven't seen a lot of bad news. Not trying to be argumentative... but I haven't seen a lot of Dish bad news.
There have been some potentially bad news for some customers, with the distant networks things.... and some looming TiVo related stuff... but no other bad news that I can recall.
When I scan the forums, I see about as many people complaining in the DirecTV forum as I do in the Dish forum... about one problem or another either with service, CSRs, receiver functionality (or lack thereof), and "why does XXX have this channel but we don't with our YYY provider".
So I don't see the sky falling in on Dish, unless it is also falling in on DirecTV and most cable systems as well... and last I checked out the window, the sky was clear today
