I just had my first lockup. My wife was listening to an XM "90's on 9" station and the screen saver came on. I turned the TV off (HDMI connected) since the sound goes out through the optical port and into my AV receiver. When we turned the TV back on, the HR20 was unresponsive to both remote and front-panel buttons.

I RBRed.

This marks the end of the second week with the HR20 and so far I've had:
1) One recording (Frosty the Snowman) that was supposed to record but simply didn't.
2) One "guide" error that stopped recording the Steelers game on Thursday.
3) One freeze or lockup.
4) One "split" recording.
5) One recording (Boston Legal) that didn't have proper audio for the first 21 minutes.
6) One recording that, due to a power outage, was simply deleted while my TiVo upstairs kept it as a partial recording.

Not complaining, just noting for future reference. I've been relatively supportive of this so far. I may even try to recreate the bug (turning the TV off after the screensaver kicks on) to see if I can file an official bug report.

Bummer on all the issues.

Do try to recreate it, I bet you can. Not that it makes it a good thing, but if you know what to avoid you can avoid it as opposed to a bug that just appears randomly.

They're not TOO bad, though. 1 was kinda lame, especially since I verified that it was in the "to do" list when the little "R" didn't appear in the guide window. 2 was experienced by everyone, and I've have been more upset if I wasn't watching and didn't catch it on the spot. 3 was lame, but didn't interrupt any recordings. 4 and 5 probably aren't the fault of the HR20 (necessarily). 6 is probably the intended behavior.

I will, and with full documentation when I get the chance. I still have only 0xFA, of course, so I want to document it soon in case the 0x104 update fixes it.

But the wife is watching something right now, so... it'll have to wait a little while. ;)
