I've had my HR20-700 for a about 18 hours now. Have been a DTivo guy for many years, but just now upgraded to HDTV. Just wanted to say hi and thanks for all the great info.
I have been a member of the TivoCommunity forums for several years and the people on this forum looks just as helpful as the people over there. I've spent many enjoyable hours hacking my previous Tivo boxes and can't wait to use the information on this site to play with my HR20.
I will say I already miss Tivo, but I am trying to keep an open mind. Anytime I really miss Tivo, I just distract myself by turning on an HD channel.
I will be busy for the next week reading over all of the threads. I love learning about a new gadget, but at the same time, it can be tedious.
I do want to ask one question which I haven't been able to find the answer for yet.
Is it possible to switch between the tuners like you could with the down button on Tivo? I've searched all over the place and can't find an answer. Maybe my search abilities are failing me.
Anyway, thanks again and I'm glad I found this forum. I found a thread over at dvdtalk.com to this, but now that I think about it, I remember Earl's name being mentioned on either Engadget or Gizmodo (or both) around the time the HR20 came out.
