Lansing, MI HD locals are on 61.5, but FSN Detroit HD is on 129

That seems silly that they would split up the regional HD programming like this. A Dish level 2 tech support rep suggested that I point a dish at 61.5 instead of 129 to pick up my newly added HD locals, but I just discovered that I'd be losing my other regional HD coverage. I guess I'll be using both 61.5 and 129.

With a Dish 1000, I'll need a DPP44 to connect a wing dish in order to retain use of 129 correct? I was going to add a wing dish and connect is in place of 129 on my existing switch.

Assuming that you have a Dish 1000.2 you do NOT need an external switch. You connect the wing dish (with a DP LNB) to the input on the 1000.2 LNB assembly. There is no problem have both 129 and 61.5.
