Hi all,

The First week with my new HR20, went well. No problems so far, only recorded 2 shows.

My question is, if LB (letter box) is showing in the Info, should it show on my tv.
I have the HR20 set to NATIVE ON.

Not really sure what you're asking. If the program has a LB designation (most likely on a SD channel) then it will have the black bars at the top and bottom of the screen. You can use the formatting options on the HR20 to make the LB fill the screen. Or were you asking something else?

Sorry, when I am watching HD channels (NBC Wednesday Night - Medium) it showed in the info, that it is in letter box. On my tv it was full screen.

I have the HR20 set at NATIVE on and Pillar box (take it, this is for SD channels).

So you were watching channel 4 WNBC. Isn't that Medium show in HD? If you were tuned into a HD channel, then it will fill the entire screen if the current program is HD. The formatting options do not work on HD channels, only SD. Not sure why it designated it as HD and LB; might have been just a guide error. I wouldn't really worry about that too much.

I think the same guide info is used for the SD as for the HD channels.

I'm sure I've seen the LB notation on a HD channel that had an SD equivalent.
