Could anyone tell me how their dvr is after you left it on ch 204 and powered it off...then turn it on in the morning.

Would a few people leave their dvr on ch 204 tonight and turn off like normal...turn on in the morning and tell me if the screen is frozen?

This is just an odd issue I have seen for some time...even in Michigan and Wisconsin. Channel changes ok when in this state and when you return to ch 204 it is fine. Thanks!

If I remember to do this tonight, I will and will post tomorrow. But have out of town guests showing up in a little while and don't know if I'll be messing with TV later or not.

Out of curiosity, how about a little info about your system. What model DVR, what type of dish, SWM or conventional, etc.? Do you have more than one DVR and does this happen on both/all?

Replicating the problem would be more likely and relevant if done on the same type of equipment.

It should be interesting to see where this thread goes.

The work-around, if necessary, seems fairly easy. Change from Channel 204 before turning the set off at night.

Yes I know about the work around...my HR'24s are never frozen on power up in the morning on any other channel. This only happens when left on 204 and nothing recording that evening on that dvr possibly. I do recording on all three dvr's and the tonight show is all I record over night.

This channel freeze is not a total dvr lock up...changing channels is ok from that point. Thanks guys.

Left my HR24-500 on 204 last night, but I have two series links in the morning for local news so it was properly recording both when I got up. I'll try it tonight on an HR22-100 that doesn't have any recordings set on it.

Dropped one of the recordings so the HR24 would stay on 204. Left it on 204 last night and when I turned it on this morning everything was fine. I'm not able to replicate your problem.
