I'm highly considering DirecTv but I'm having doubts on being able to receive service due to living in an older neighborhood with alot of trees. I've looked into dishpointer.com and I don't think it is much help. I have no idea where to put the dish and I dont have a tape measure to measure the trees in my area :lol:

I do not have a smart phone either.... wish I did now. any help or suggestions would be much appreciated.

All you need to do is schedule the appointment have the tech come take a look if it doesnt work then you are not on the hook for anything.

That's what I have heard. seems that may be the only option is to order and hope for the best.

From your place, have a look at near by roof tops and see if you can see a Direct TV dish then your should have an idea of where it is pointing. It should give you a rough idea in what direction a dish will be pointed from your appartment. To be sure the tech should let you know. sattvmax.com
