Lost signal for a while during Giants vs Reds game today. Around 2PM ET. Signal is back but lower than it should be. In the 60-70 range. I am in NE Ohio. Is it due to solar radiation?

Clear and sunny. That is what made me think of solar radiation.

It might have been.

I lost signal a couple of days ago and poking around brought up the message about the sun.
A few mins later I was good to go again.

The actual time will vary slightly by which SAT you're tuned to.

What is concerning me is that the sun has now set and they still haven't returned to normal. 101 is in mid to high 80s while 99 and 103 are in 50s and 60s. I am thinking more has happened.

Bird strike?
When the sun is a problem, it only is for a few mins.

Thing is, how long has the signal been low? When was the last time you checked the signals before losing signal during the game?

Last time I checked signal levels was last weekend, they were fine then. LNB was replaced by tech back in July to solve low signal problem. Dish alignment not a problem, bad LNB was.

Been losing signal more and more guess it's time to realign.

I had a tech come out a while back to replace a receiver. My readings were in the high 80s and he said while he was here, he would tweak the dish so he was sure to pass the QC. Well, I had had more outages than the norm so I thought great! He ended up having to replace the dish after trying for quite some time to tweak, change out the LNB, change out the multiswitch, etc. The only thing he could think of was that the dish had warped slightly. The new dish worked fine! Long story short, a simple box swap ended up taking him 4.5 hours.
